The Client: Knowledge East Enterprise Network (KEEN), launched to encourage
entrepreneurial action from students at the eight Knowledge East universities.
The Brief: a promotional video to document and promote the Entrepreneurial skills training programme using highlights recent event and scheme to attract potential attendees and would be financiers.
The Process: the project was shot in various locations in one of the London Universities, covering the filming of events, conducting vox-pop interviews with speakers, event organisers and attendees.
The Outcome: a short promotional up beat and lively film showcasing the energy, diversity, appeal and the benefits of the entrepreneur training programme. The film was delivered for online distribution and on DVD to be shown at future promotional showcases.
Business Owners
The Client: Gendo, a Dutch IT consultancy and management consulting firm.
The Brief: to produce a corporate video for distribution within the banking sector and for prospective clients discussing emerging technologies with influences on Global Finance.
The Process: the project was shot in various locations in central London and Hertfordshire, covering the filming of lectures, interviews, and the use of archive materials.
The Outcome: a corporate film combining stills, music, graphics and the production footage. The project was provided in Dutch and English languages and on formats for online and DVD distribution.
DVD Bonus
The Client: Spanish DVD label Avalon and FNAC.
The Brief: produce engaging DVD extras to accompany Carol Reed’s ‘The Fallen Idol’ and ‘Outcast of the Islands’ DVD re-release.
The Process: the documentary involved an in-depth interview with film maker - director Guy Hamilton, who worked as Carol’s assistant in the forties, and a talk at the National Film Theatre in London as part of a season of Carol Reed films.
The Outcome: two documentaries with Spanish sub-titles to fit Avalon’s requirements. The DVD was released in June 2009 as a 2 disc set including nice transfers of ‘The Fallen Idol’ and ‘Outcast of the Islands’.
DVD Releasing
The Client: Independent investor.
The Brief: produce an engaging and informative DVD of vegan cookery and information on veganism.
The Process: 37 individual recipes were shot with a multi-camera technique and utilising the talents of 3 top British vegetarian chefs. Post-production was lengthy and full on given the amount and length of material shot. Music was specially composed and the production went through the full post-production process. Artwork was commissioned, including the cover, advertising and the full colour accompanying recipe booklet.
The Outcome: a nicely packaged DVD with a 52 page full colour recipe booklets. The disc includes 2 and half hours of quality video material.
Music Promo
The Client: Too Crewd Records.
The Process: The promo was shot over 3 days with a largish crew of about 25 people. A DP was hired and S16mm film equipment was booked. The first day location was in a central London nightclub and involved about 60 extras and a cameo appearance by a well known actor. The second and third days were in various other locations around London. Post production took place in The Farm in Soho.
The Outcome: A polished music promo to promote the clients song that was broadcast on MTV and other music promotional platforms.
